Installing Office 2013 Activation

In this article, we will discuss the process of installing an Office 2013 activation key using a KMS (Key Management Service) host. This is especially useful for organizations that have multiple computers and need to activate their software efficiently.

To begin with, you'll need to download and extract/mount the necessary files. Once you've done this, you'll need to access your already configured KMS Host, which is running your Windows KMS activation. To enable a KMS Host for Office 2013, follow these steps:

First, you'll need access to the Microsoft VLSC (Volume Licensing Service Center). You can do this by logging into your account on the Microsoft website. From there, navigate to the 'Downloads and Keys' section, where you'll find the necessary files.

Look for the 'Office Professional Plus 2013 Key Management Service Host' or 'Office Standard Key Management Service Host', depending on what type of license you have. Once you've downloaded the correct file, extract/mount it to a location on your computer.

Next, go to the folder where you extracted the KMS host files and run the setup.exe file. Follow the installation prompts to complete the installation process.

Once the installation is complete, you'll need to configure the KMS host to use with Office 2013. To do this, open the Windows Registry Editor (Regedit) and navigate to the following key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\OfficeSoftwareProtectionPlatform.

Create a new DWORD value called 'KMSHost' and set its value to the IP address of your KMS host machine. Save the changes and close Regedit.

Finally, restart your computer and launch Office 2013. You should see the activation prompt, at which point you can enter your Office 2013 activation key to complete the installation process.

That's it! With these steps, you should now have a functioning KMS host for Office 2013 installed on your machine.
